Star Wars release BRAND NEW trailer for The Last Jedi
Rumours of Yoda’s return as a Force ghost have been doing the rounds since the release of Episode VII: The Force Awakens in 2015.
Fans know that the green alien will make a return in some form after his voice was heard in the first The Last Jedi trailer – but will Yoda just be a voice or a physically visible Force ghost, as seen in Return of the Jedi?
Star Wars theorist Mike Zeroh has spotted some exciting new information in the latest MakingStarWars podcast that suggests the latter is very likely.
Star Wars 8 The Last Jedi: ‘Yoda Force ghost props SPOTTED at Pinewood’: What's his role?
In his new YouTube video, Zeroh says: ’Now this specifically comes from the Editor-in-Chief Jason Ward, who said there are new indications of Yoda being in this film during production within the creature shop.
“Now Jason stated he actually saw evidence of Yoda props being built for The Last Jedi.
“Now a couple of tips that he gave us is that Frank Oz [original Yoda voice actor] actually went into work at Pinewood Studios in the UK, most likely.
“He said he can’t talk about it until the movie is out.”
Frank Oz, who voices Yoda, says he can't talk about The Last Jedi until it comes out
He continued: “So he essentially slipped that Yoda is in the film because he can’t…really talk about it.
“The last thing is that some people, most likely the crew, were taking pictures in there with Yoda – most likely with a Yoda prop – built for The Last Jedi.
“We have heard rumours of leaks of Yoda appearing in front of Rey or Luke Skywalker, or even both.
Star Wars The Last Jedi will feature Yoda in some form
Zeroh added: “I think it’s going to be a very short piece for Yoda, because there are so many characters in this film.”
“I think it’s going to be a quick little vision with a lot of meaning.”
Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi will be released in UK cinemas on December 15, 2017.
