Ridley Scott speaks out on Prometheus
Now, Ridley Scott has reflected on the biggest problem with it: that he got rid of the xenomorph. Safe to say, that issue has been rectified.
Asked by Yahoo! what changed between then and the new movie, he said: “What changed was the reaction to Prometheus, which was a pretty good ground zero reaction.

“So I thought, ‘wow, OK, I’m wrong.’”
Prometheus received a solid approval rating from critics (72% on Rotten Tomatoes) and performed well at the box office, but does not seem to have aged well.
Most reviews for Alien: Covenant that compare it to the 2012 release seem to have less than fond memories of it.
But the reaction to Alien: Covenant seems to at least be slightly better - even if reviews are generally mixed.

“My day job is to be an entertainer. Some of it is art, but fundamentally I entertain – never forget that.”
Alien: Covenant is released in UK cinemas on May 12.
