Star Wars 8 Last Jedi: Will Anakin Skywalker visit REY as a Force Ghost - not Luke?
ANAKIN SKYWALKER will appear as a Force Ghost to Rey and tell her some shock truths about his son Luke in The Last Jedi, according to a leading Star Wars theorist.
Will Anakin Skywalker appear before Rey in The Last Jedi - rather than Luke?
Thor Skywalker, who boasts almost 11,000 subscribers on YouTube, has formulated a possible reason why Hayden Christensen’s character could return as a vision to Daisy Ridley’s newcomer.
One of the few things we know about Episode VIII is that it will show Rey spending time with Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), who is keen for the Jedi to end.
Ridley has also teased that it won’t be plain sailing for the duo - citing the old phrase “never meet your heroes”.
YouTuber Thor speculated: “Throughout her training, Rey will suspect something is wrong with Luke, or that he’s not being honest with her.

Rey will be confused because Anakin will say [the opposite of] what Luke taught her
“At one point, she’ll go somewhere Luke has told her not to, and that is when she’ll come across the texts [seen in the trailer].
“Likely there’ll be in an ancient language she doesn’t understand.
“She’ll sense something, whirl around and there will be the Force Ghost of Anakin Skywalker.”
He added: “Of course, Anakin will tell her what is written. Rey will be confused because that’s not what Luke taught her.
“This could be the perfect time for Rey to have her origins revealed to her. And once Rey learns the truth, she will threaten to walk away from it.”

Christensen’s appearance in the movie is long-rumoured but not official, with LucasFilm not making any remark whatsoever on the possibility of his return.
In fact, the speculation was not publicly mentioned at all when Christensen appeared at Star Wars Celebration earlier this month.
So is he definitely coming back? And does the above theory hold any weight? We’ll have to sit tight and find out at the end of the year.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi is out on December 15.
