The DC Expanded Universe is in full swing with Wonder Woman and Justice League due later this year.
Now Avengers director Joss Whedon is set to write and direct a Batgirl solo movie, as reported yesterday.

Lindsey Morgan, best known for playing Raven Reyes in TV’s The 100 has given some pretty big hints on her Twitter account.
Batgirl movie: Has THIS star already been cast as the DC superhero?
Earlier this month Morgan tweeted about an audition in New York before proclaiming her massive excitement at a new project.
She tweeted: “WELP. New project on the horizon AND IM MORE THAN ECSTATIC about it!!!!”
Not only that, but since the news of Whedon’s involvement in Batgirl, the actress has been retweeting the story and articles asking if she is in fact the new Batgirl.
Batgirl last appeared in the critically-panned Batman & Robin, which starred George Clooney – who recently revealed why he we won’t watch Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight.

Lindsey Morgan has dropped some big hints on her Twitter page
Former It girl Alicia Silverstone played Batgirl in the 1997 movie, marking 20 years since the character was last portrayed in live action on screen.
However with poor reviews for DCEU film entries so far, can Whedon turn the superhero’s fortunes around? – Fans will have to wait and see.
