Beauty And The Beast: Emma Watson almost run over by a HORSE during filming, says Josh Gad
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST star Josh Gad has revealed an on-set disaster from the making of the movie that saw a horse charge towards Emma Watson.
Josh Gad reveals his horse almost ran over Hermione
The actor, who plays LeFou, told Jimmy Fallon on his chatshow last night that the horse he was riding was particularly badly-behaved, and left the trainer with “tears in his eyes”.
“My horse was, his name was Buddy, which is a misnomer because he was a b*****d,” Gad recalled on The Tonight Show.
“He threw me off his back the first day, then Luke and I had to ride into the village on these horses to sing Belle, the song Belle.
“All we had to do is take three steps. Luke’s [Evans] horse does it perfectly. My horse - this is not a joke - moonwalked, walked backwards. Literally four legs backwards. Then ran through the villagers!”

Emma [Watson] is like, ‘No! Nooo!’ And everyone’s like, ‘No, Hermione! Nooooo!'
Describing the chaos, he continued: “He ran! And Emma [Watson] is like, ‘Noooo! Nooo!’ And everyone’s like, ‘No, Hermione! Nooooo!’
“And then the trainer, the horse trainer, literally tears in his eyes, comes up to me and says, ‘I’m so sorry, I’ve never seen that happen before.’”
The film is doing exceptionally well with pre-sale tickets ahead of its international opening this weekend.
Watson plays Belle alongside Dan Stevens as the Beast, Evans as Gaston and a supporting cast including Emma Thompson, Ewan McGregor and Sir Ian McKellen.

This is Watson's biggest role since Hermione
Gad’s character LeFou has had a little controversy, after being declared central to Disney’s first “exclusively gay moment”.
The fallout resulted in the film being postponed from release in Malaysia and boycotted by a small cinema in Alabama, although the backlash against the backlash has also been very strong.
Beauty and the Beast is out on March 17. Read the Express.co.uk verdict here.
