Star Wars 8 news: 'Luke left Rey on Jakku' THIS amazing reason finally explains her power
STAR WARS hero Luke left Rey on Jakku for this incredible reason which also explains why she will be so powerful in The Last Jedi, according to the latest revelations in the new Aftermath books by Chuck Wendig.
Star Wars why did Luke leave Rey on Jakku
Not even our amazing Jedi mind control can contain our excitement over finding out who Rey is and why she was left on Jakku as a child.
We have months until The Last Jedi hits cinemas but the recent Aftermath books by Chuck Wendig have been mined by clever fans searching for clues.
New revelations explain that the actual planet Jakku is even more important than we realised and may be the key to why Rey has such incredible ability in the Force with so little training.
We already knew from the books that Jakku was hugely important to Emperor Palpatine because it contained ancient Sith temple ruins and possibly artifacts and holocrons.
We previously reported that Palpatine planned to detonate Jakku in the event of his defeat to destroy the remnants of the Empire and his Rebel enemies. We also reporetd that Palpatine was in touch with some kind of powerful Dark Force user in Unknown Space who many believe is Snoke.
However, an eagle-eyed fan spotted proof in Aftermath: Empire's End that Jakku is also equally important to the Light Side of the Force, which would explain why Rey was abandoned there and where she got her immense power.
The Star Wars Aftermath trilogy is filled with clues
Star Wars fan channel Qui-Gon Josh reports that a key section from Aftermath explains Rey's incredible potency in the Force.
Josh says: "Jakku was discovered to be a major emanater of Force energy. In particular, The Emperor felt the core of Jakku emanated a strong Light Side energy which made him feel disgusting, rather like the cave on Dagobah (where Yoda trained Luke) emanated Dark Side energy.
He had Rax drill all the way to the core, which was emanating Light Side energy."
The detonators which Palpatine and Rax set in the core would therefore not just destroy the Rebel fleet overhead, they would destroy a planet that was a powerful source of the Light.
This was why Luke left Rey on Jakku.
Whatever the Sith could sense, so too could a potent Jedi like Luke. Suddenly poor Rey's childhood and budding powers start to make a lot more sense.

Josh continues: "I believe Rey was Force sensitive and was placed on Jakku and became like an antenna to receive the Light Side Force emanating from the core. That was why she was so powerful.
"That's why Rey has so much power and I believe Luke learned of Jakku because of his search for Jedi temples and artifacts. I believe it was Luke who left Rey there."
Star Wars VIII; The Last Jedi is out on December 15.
