However, when Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens was released, Ford overtook him - and Jackson hasn’t taken it lying down.
Laughing about it on Ellen yesterday, he said: “Harrison is still ahead of me because of Star Wars.
“My assistant told me I was [about] $150 million behind him. I’ve got a chance to grab him with this movie [Kong: Skull Island], xXx is doing really well in China so it might be that…

Jackson, 68, was in the three Star Wars prequels; released in 1999, 2002 and 2005. He’s also been in the likes of Snakes On A Plane, Pulp Fiction and a recent spate of Marvel blockbusters.

Ford, meanwhile, has his name not only on four Star Wars films but also on the massive Indiana Jones franchise.
For now, Jackson is promoting Kong: Skull Island, which debuted its final trailer yesterday.
