AVENGERS INFINITY WAR starts its Scottish shoot in a few days and the new casting call reveals some juicy plot details involving Peter Dinklage's character.
The Avengers Project: Marvel announces game in teaser trailer
The Marvel extravaganza, which will cost a whopping £400 million, has already begun filming in Atlanta, Georgia, but will move to Scotland next week.
Fans will have seen a recent featurette featuring Iron Man’s Robert Downey Jr, Spider-Man’s Tom Holland and Star-Lord’s Chris Pratt a few weeks ago, as they kick off the mammoth movie.
Starting shooting in Edinburgh and Glasgow on February 28, filming Avengers Infinity War is due to take six months in total.
However what really stands out is the casting call for Scotland, one that alludes to plot details.

Apart from general extras of both genders and a call for male arm amputees, casting directors are asking for people who are 4ft 9in or shorter.
But how is that significant to the Avengers Infinity War plot?
Last month it was announced that Peter Dinklage, who is 4ft 5in was in major talks for a role in Avengers Infinity War.
While speculation at the time suggested the Game of Thrones star could be Marvel favourite Pip the Troll, or even supervillain MODOK, this new casting call suggests otherwise.
Omega Underground, who posted the casting call, reckon it means Dinklage is playing The Dwarven King Eitri, who forged Mjolnir, Thor’s hammer, with the extras being the people of Nidavellir, the ninth realm.
This would make a lot of sense as concept art featuring Thor has him wielding another weapon.
Could the Asgardian prince have lost his worthiness of the mighty hammer once again?

Could King Eitri be coming to aid Asgard against Thanos
Perhaps the events of Thor Ragnarok later this year will help uncover the truth of the matter.
Previous casting specifics from earlier this month suggested that Asgard would be wiped out by Thanos in a bloody scene, so it would make a lot of sense for the other nine realms to get involved in the battle for the universe.
Avengers: Infinity War will be released in UK cinemas April 27 2018, while its yet-to-be-titled sequel will be released April 26, 2019.
