Rogue One DVD and Blu-ray release date accidentally leaked and it is coming SOON
THE ROGUE ONE Home Entertainment DVD and Blu-ray release date has been accidentally revealed by a new advert on Amazon. May the Force be with those responsible...
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story trailer released
The information is supposed to be locked up tighter than the plans for the Death Star, so we have a horrible feeling that Darth Vader will be having a word, or some heavy breathing, with some the folk responsible.
Fortunately, no rebel fighters had to die to obtain the information.
Instead, a new advert on Amazon has inadvertantly revealed the HE release date for the blockbuster movie.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - The Official Mission Debrief is a new glossy book available for pre-order and the blurb says that it comes out at the same time as the DVD.
The advert says: "As Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is released on DVD worldwide, The Official Mission Debrief presents an all-encompassing guide to the hugely successful movie, with unprecedented access to the making of the film, its stars, its crew and its stunning landscapes.
"Relive the latest movie in the world's biggest franchise over and over again. A must for any fan of Star Wars."
All very exciting, but not as thrilling as the confirmation that the release date is March 28.
This follows the announcement that Jyn Erso will also have a new spin-off story, as will fan favourites Baze and Chirrut.
Rogue One DVD release date leaked
Does this advert accidentally reveal the DVD release date, too?
From the wording of the advert for The Official Mission Debrief, March 28 is presumably the same date that the home entertainment versions of the film also go on sale.
The link on the Uk and US Amazon sites for the Rogue One book is still active, although that, or the wording may change.
The artwork for the book's cover is also marked as being a temporary holding image, but it seems unlikely that any release dates themselves will be altered due to this oversight.
Many new Rogue One books will be released in the coming months
Rogue One has proven to be an enormous box office success, soaring past $1billion at the global box office.
The latest Star Wars adventure stars Felicity Jones, Diego Luna and the returning voice of James Earl Jones as Lord Vader.
Luna is already capitalising on his new rising profile, landing the lead role in the upcoming remake of the Al Pacino classic, Scarface.
