RICKY HARRIS, the actor famed for appearing in Heat, has died aged 54, with Snoop Dogg and Ice Cube leading tributes.

Ricky Harris, who acted in Heat and Poetic Justice, has died aged 54
The actor and comedian, who appeared with Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, died of a heart attack yesterday, as reported by his manager Cindy Ambers.
Aside from his stand up comedy career, Harris starred in 1993’s Poetic Justice with Janet Jackson and the late Tupac Shakur.
A year later he appeared in Murder Was the Case, a short film starring and performed by rapper Snoop Dogg, a lifelong friend.

Upon news of Harris’ death, the rapper took to Twitter to pay tribute.
He wrote: “See you when I get there like we used to do in church on the East Side. Tel Nate to hold my note.”
Rapper Ice Cube also expressed his dismay at Harris’ death on his social media account.
He tweeted: “Damn, we lost Ricky Harris. The world is a little funny today. RIP homie.”
Harris’ role in Michael Mann’s crime classic Heat, where he played Albert Torena, was a career highlight for the actor.
One of his best-loved scenes was opposite Pacino’s detective, who gives him the memorable line: “Don’t waste my motherf***ing time.”
Heat saw DeNiro play Neil McCauley, a professional thief, alongside Pacino’s Lt. Vincent Hanna, who is tracking down his crew.

The film was a big success making the equivalent of £238million worldwide in today’s money.
Harris also had a number of acting credits on the small screen including Bones, Everybody Hates Chris and CSI: Miami.
His voiceover work included a number of characters in the popular video game, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.
