Saltburn home harassed by trespassers and influencers, owner says
Fans of the psychological thriller have been visiting the 700-year-old estate for photos and videos, so the owner has upped his security.
The home used for this film Saltburn has been getting plagued by hoards of fans, and the owner is tired of the trespassers.
The psychological thriller from Emerald Fennell hit theatres last year, starring Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Rosamund Pike and Richard E. Grant. Saltburn received a lot of media attention, mainly surrounding its more disturbing scenes.
The property is actually the 700-year-old Drayton House in Northamptonshire, England, and it’s owned by Charles Stopford Sackville. The mansion has 127 rooms and sits on 200 acres.
Sackville said in an interview with the Daily Mail the estate has been overrun by fans wanting to get a look at the film’s setting. He’s had to increasae security on the property, now regretting his decision to let the camera crews in.

He said: “How would you feel if people were taking pictures outside your house? I’d prefer the interest to blow over but I can’t make it blow over.”
Sackville revealed how Saltburn came to be filmed on his estate. He’s friends with the parents of Fennell, as well as received a hefty sum to let it happen.
In order to film there, no one apart of the production was allowed to give the real location of the home in interviews, the Daily Mail reported. However, fans have figured it out on their own.
TikTokers who’ve found the property have posted videos giving instructions on how to get there. This had led to a slew of videos of fans filming themselves dancing to Sophie Ellis Baxter’s Murder On The Dance Floor in front of the estate, which was featured in the movie.
