Spider-Man 3: Here’s what to expect after Spider-Man Far From Home end credits scenes
SPIDER-MAN 3 was teased in Spider-Man Far From Home’s end credits scenes, but what should fans expect?
Spider-Man: Far From Home teaser trailer REVEALED
WARNING: SPOILERS FOR SPIDER-MAN FAR FROM HOME AHEAD. The mid-credits scene saw Mysterio frame Spider-Man for his crimes and death before revealing the Web Slinger’s true identity as Peter Parker. Talk about a cliffhanger. Currently, Spider-Man 3 (not to be confused with Tobey Maguire’s movie of the same name), is rumoured to arrive in Summer 2021 as Sony Pictures are alleged to want a Spidey MCU solo movie every two years.
So just what could Spider-Man 3 be about?
Well, clearly the Web Slinger is going to be something of a fugitive in the next outing since the public and authorities will think he’s a villain.
In fact, there’s a very recent comic book storyline called Spider-Man Hunted, which it may take inspiration from.
In the Marvel comics, Kraven the Hunter has been hunting animal-themed characters and wants to add Spider-Man to his collection.
Perhaps this means Kraven will debut in Spider-Man 3 and be something of a bounty hunter.
Meanwhile, there’s a classic storyline where the Green Goblin found out the truth.
And with rumours Norman Osborn is entering the MCU as the next big bad, maybe Marvel will go with that storyline.
After all, the Spider-Man Homecoming end credits scene was a big teaser for the Sinister Six.
The scene saw Vulture meet Scorpion in prison, so who knows which four others will team up against Spider-Man in the future.
Last year, Sony producer Amy Pascal told Vanity Fair that a Sinister Six movie is still in the works.
She said: “I’m just waiting for Drew to be ready to direct it. I would do anything with Drew Goddard. I’m just waiting for him to tell me he wants to.”
Although at this stage it’s not clear if she meant for an MCU movie or Sony spin-off like Venom.
