Avengers Endgame directors Russo Brothers give BIG update as Captain Marvel hits cinemas
AVENGERS ENDGAME directors The Russo Brothers have given a huge update, as Captain Marvel hits cinemas.
Avengers Endgame: INTENSE Super Bowl trailer revealed
Captain Marvel is out this weekend, but Avengers Endgame – in which Brie Larson’s superhero also features – is out next month. Now directors Joe and Anthony Russo have tweeted an exciting and crucial update. On their Twitter feed they posted a picture of an ice cream sundae bar by their editing suite. The filmmakers have been hard at work for months on Avengers Endgame and now it looks like it’s finally finished.
They wrote: “Last day of editorial Sundae Bar. Picture is locked…”
That can mean only one thing – post-production editing is complete and Avengers Endgame is ready for cinematic release.
Of course, Marvel fans still have to wait until April 25 to see the epic, but at least that means a run time is finally decided.
The last time the Russo Brothers were asked Avengers Endgame had a cut of three hours.

Last month Joe Russo said: “We’re still at the three-hour mark.
“I think the studio is down with what the best story is.
“Right now, we think the movie is playing well and we’ve had great responses from our test audiences and we’re feeling very good about where it is.
“We’re still doing work to it. We’re not done with it.”
While last week Marvel boss Kevin Feige was asked if this three hour run time would be cut down.
He cryptically told Collider: “We’re gonna release the movie at the exact right running time. I’m telling you this, it’s gonna be perfect.
“It’s gonna be the exact running time that the movie needs to be. I think there’s a lot of story in that movie and a lot of characters in that movie.”
Avengers Endgame is released in UK cinemas on April 25, 2019.
