Bohemian Rhapsody stream and download: Queen biopic with Rami Malek is available VERY soon
BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY has been in cinemas for months on end - but it will soon be available to stream and download at home.
Bohemian Rhapsody: Official trailer released
The Queen biopic - in which Rami Malek puts in a widely-acclaimed performance as Freddie Mercury - doesn’t come out on DVD and Blu-ray until next month, but you will be able to buy a digital copy to stream this weekend. The move comes just a week ahead of the Oscars, where the film is up for a range of awards - including Best Picture and Best Actor.
Bohemian Rhapsody is available digitally on Saturday, February 16.
It can be purchased on Amazon Video for £11.99, both for the SD and HD versions.
Sky Store will also release it on the same day, for the same prices.
In fact, for £13.99 you can download or stream your own copy, and also have the DVD on pre-order.
And for £17.99, you can download or stream the digital version, and have a Blu-ray physical copy on pre-order.
On the iTunes store, it will be released for £13.99 on Saturday.
Those DVD and Blu-ray releases follow on March 4, just over two weeks after the stream.
The synopsis reads: “Foot-stomping Queen biopic charting the successes and struggles of the beloved British rock band.
“Mr Robot's Rami Malek plays legendary late frontman Freddie Mercury. Includes special features.”
Ahead of its physical release, the movie is already No2 on Amazon’s best-seller chart, behind the recently-released A Star Is Born.
It’s still playing in cinemas, too: last weekend figures show it was still the 14th most popular film at the box office; taking another £243,513 in its 16th week on release.
Dexter Fletcher - who stepped in to direct the film following Bryan Singer’s firing - will be on similar territory later this year when his Elton John biopic Rocket Man is released.
