Avengers 4: Tony Stark ENDGAME speech from Age of Ultron reveals how he will DIE?
WILL AVENGERS 4 hero Tony Stark die to defeat Thanos and did he already reveal how in Age of Ultron?
Avengers Infinity War: Teaser ahead of DVD release
It's all about Tony Stark – and it's not just him who knows it.
The raging egomaniac may be determined to be at the centre of everything but he is one of the few still standing and his special connection to Thanos was confirmed in their powerful scene on Titan, which already felt like a foreshadowing of the climax of Avengers 4.
Doctor Strange also made it clear that Tony had to be saved for whatever was to come, having previously vowed never to put any life above the Time Stone.
Now clever fans have spotted a huge clue in a scene from Avengers: Age of Ultron.
In the group scene, everyone is angrily talking about Tony's failure to realise what he had created in Ultron.
He justifies his risk by explaining that whatever problems are faced on Earth pale in comparison to the threat the lurks beyond the planet, reminding everyone about the attack on New York in the first film.
He says: "Recall that? A hostile alien army came charging in through a hole in space… We're standing 300 feet below it.
"We're the Avengers. We can bust arms dealers all the live-long day, but that up there? That's the endgame. How were you guys planning on beating that?"
There is one word that jumps out: Endgame.
There is a reason this is the overwhelming favourite guess for the title of Avengers 4 and not just because it perfectly sums up the culmination of eleven years and 21 movies.
Doctor Strange tells Tony "We're in the endgame now" just before he turns to dust. It can't be a coincidence from the meticulous Marvel filmmakers.
And it foreshadows a potentially devastating and heroic end for the man inside the Iron Man suit.
