A feelgood movie from Pierce Brosnan
A DANISH film with subtitles yet somehow starring Pierce Brosnan – the mind boggled.
Love Is All You Need is a film so beguiling, so light of touch, so overwhelmingly optimistic yet so far from sugar-coated it had three generations of my family mesmerised.
Don’t be derailed by comments about its similarity to Mamma Mia! It’s not a musical.

It’s not schmaltzy. It does feature a wedding and Mr Brosnan but there the likeness ends.
It’s a film about social embarrassment, despair, illness, recovery, lemon groves and love blossoming In barren places. It’s no thriller. There’s zero suspense. I could not, however, bring myself to leave the screen long enough to pay even a fleeting visit to the little girls’ room.
Highly recommended if you want to feel better than you’ve felt for ages.
