Key victory for Taylor Swift in 'grope' court battle
POP star Taylor Swift has won a key victory in her court battle against a radio DJ she claims groped her.
David Mueller has lost his job after Taylor Swift claimed the former DJ had groped her
David Mueller, 55, lost his job after the singer told his radio station that he had touched her bottom and was suing her for £2.3million.
His claim was dismissed on Friday in a Denver court when US District Judge William Martines ruled Swift is not liable.
The 27-year-old musician counter-sued the DJ for allegedly putting his hand under her skirt and grabbing her behind while she posed for a photograph with him and his then girlfriend.
She is seeking just one US dollar in symbolic damages, an amount she will pledge to charity.
The alleged assault is said to have occurred in 2013 during a Denver stopover on the singer’s Red tour.
