Gorden Kaye plays René Artois in BBC sitcom 'Allo 'Allo!
Kaye died at the age of 75 at a care home on Monday morning to the shock of his fans and fellow actors.
The actor will be remembered for playing cafe owner Rene Artois in the popular sitcom 'Allo 'Allo, appearing all 84 episodes.
His co-star Vicki Michelle said: “So sad to hear news of Gorden Kaye. A brilliantly talented actor, consummate professional, loved the world over.
“There’ll never be another Rene.”

Born in Huddersfield in 1941, the shy Yorkshire man embarked on a career in acting and appeared in a radio play by Alan Ayckborn.
After performing in a number of plays at Bolton Octagon Theatre, he took on the role of Elsie Tanner's nephew Bernard Butler in Coronation Street.
He also starred in comedy short The Waterloo Bridge Handicap, the film Porridge and children's drama serial Codename Icarus.
In 1982, he was cast as Rene Artois - the character that was to define his acting career.
His 1989 autobiography, Rene & Me, looked back at his life in TV, while he went on to appear in BBC sketch show Revolver.
