The 38-year-old actor received a serious shock when he traced his family back from a life of poverty and crime in the East End to their astonishing noble ancestry when filming the upcoming season of the genealogy programme.
Both Danny and the show are keeping hush on the famous royal the TV hard nut is descended from, though an insider has claimed that viewers will be "flabbergasted".
"People will be flabbergasted to discover the famous royal Danny is descended from," they told The Mirror.

"When he found out he could hardly believe it himself. It makes for some gripping television."
Danny, who hails from Canning Town in east London, said that he had signed up for the show to "freak a few people out".
The Football Factory star ventured into acting when has aged just 16, after landing a role in TV drama Prime Suspect 3, which was fronted by Hollywood heavyweight Helen Mirren in 1993.

Danny followed on from the gritty crime drama by appearing in a string of violent films including Mean Machine, Goodbye Charlie Bright and The Business.
