The model is said to be struggling to put the ordeal behind her after being woken up in the night by noise made by the intruders earlier this week.
The 30-year-old was staying with friends while her husband Peter Crouch was acting as a pundit for Euro 2016 when the incident happened.
According to The Sun, when Abbey and a female friend saw them and screamed, they fled from the luxury property in Antibes.
A source told the newspaper: "Abbey seemed quite traumatised. She can’t stop thinking about what could have happened if they hadn’t woken up or if the burglars had been armed."

The insider continued: "He was horrified someone had broken into the villa and extremely relieved Abbey and her pals were okay.
"Luckily, Abbey was due to fly to the UK on Tuesday, so she didn’t have to stay in a villa where she would not have felt safe."

"Discovering those men in a place that should have been secure is naturally going to make you feel a bit unsure and vulnerable. It was a really nasty shock for her."
