Lewis Hamilton slams casino for 'treating him like dirt' after 'worst experience'
LEWIS HAMILTON has hit out at a casino in New Zealand for treating him "like dirt" in a scathing Twitter post that may have been down to a misunderstanding over local rules.
Lewis Hamilton was unimpressed with his casino experience
The Formula One ace, 31, is Down Under ahead of this weekend's Australian Grand Prix, and was visiting a casino in Auckland when it seems he had a run-in with staff.
In a post that has since been deleted, he wrote: "Don't ever go to the sky city casino in Auckland, they treated me like dirt.
"Can't believe how rude they were. Worst casino experience ever!"
The gambling outlet replied: "So sorry to hear @lewishamilton didn't have a good time with us last night. We pride ourselves on being good hosts - we're following up w him."

However, it seems there is a possibility that Lewis may simply have been unaware of local regulations.
The Stevenage-born driver is known for wearing hats and sunglasses both outside and indoors, and is also constantly keeping fans updated on Snapchat and Instagram.
However, hats and sunglasses are banned at Sky City's tables, as is the use of a mobile phone.
Lewis seemed to enjoy his stay in Auckland regardless of the trouble

According to Stuff.co.nz, staff are understood to have "stuck to usual customer service protocol" while the A-lister was in their midst.
He seemed to have a good visit to the city overall, however: posting a dramatic cityscape on Instagram, he wrote: "Thank you for having me Auckland even though it was way too short, I'll be back tho!"
