VANESSA HUDGENS is under investigation after allegedly defacing rocks in a protected national park while on a romantic Valentine's Day trip in Arizona.

The actress is said to have shared a photo on Instagram of a heart with her and boyfriend Austin Butler's names carved or written on a red rock.
She reportedly captioned the image: "Happy Valentine's Day boo boo bears" alongside heart and flower emojis.
However the romantic sentiment has left the Grease Live star in trouble.
She is now being investigated for allegedly defacing Coconino National Forest near Sedona.

According to TMZ, the Red Rock Ranger District began investigating the incident after the snap was sharing on the social media site.
It is not yet clear if the image was carved or drawn with chalk, or even if it was taken in a national park.
According to The Department of Justice, defacing a national park, which is United States Government property, carries a maximum punishment of a $5000 fine and/or up to six months in prison.
Vanessa was enjoying a romantic trip away with her boyfriend Austin
The minimum punishment is a $100 fine and/or three months in jail.
The 27-year-old shared a handful of snaps from her day out with Austin, including a selfie with a stunning backdrop.
She can be seen posing in a black crop top, ripped jeans and aviators as she stares out at the Arizona landscape.
