A new look, pet! Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's Madame Tussauds waxwork has stylish make-over
RECENTLY MARRIED Cheryl Fernandez-Versini nee Cole has been given a makeover at Madame Tussauds ahead of her TV return on The X Factor.
The singer - who tied the knot with French restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini in a secret ceremony three weeks ago - was restyled four years after being added to the London attraction.
Stylists at Tussauds swapped the short orange skirt and purple silk top of old for a chic look with tight leather trousers and sleeveless metallic tunic top, as well as killer heels.
And they ditched a tumbling mane for an elegant look with her hair gathered at the nape of her neck.
Tussauds marketing manager Matthew Clarkson said: "It's time to refresh her look especially now she's about to burst back onto our TV screens with imminent return of the X-Factor."
Meanwhile, the star herself has undergone something of a name transformation.
Cheryl's acquired an exotic double-barrelled surname, being newly married to Frenchman Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini after a whirlwind romance.
While her personal life could not be better, her professional life is also on a high with her new single Crazy Stupid Love tipped to top the charts and a new seat on the X Factor judging panel after signing a reported £1.5million contract with the show’s mastermind Simon Cowell.
A spokesperson for the Official Charts Company said Crazy Stupid Love is leading the race to the top spot to give Cheryl her fourth solo chart topper.
The up-tempo track, which also features Tinie Tempah, is Cheryl’s last release under her former married name, Cheryl Cole.
The single is out in front of all other contenders by a sizeable margin – 22,000 chart sales. “I can’t remember being so excited to be releasing new music,” said Cheryl. “After taking some time out I feel brand new.”
It looks like Cheryl has truly forgotten all the heartache of her marriage to former Chelsea player Ashley Cole.
