Stars film PSA for Midnight Rider's tragic camera assistant
HEATHER LOCKLEAR, NINA DOBREV and SAM UNDERWOOD have joined Hollywood crew members to film a public service announcement (PSA) in honour of the camera assistant killed on the set of MIDNIGHT RIDER.
Sarah Jones, 27, was hit by a train while setting up shots on the set of the Allman Brothers biopic in Georgia in February (14), and her death prompted an outpouring of grief in the movie industry.
A number of stars have now filmed a new PSA, titled We Are, Sarah Jones, to honour her memory and call for increased safety measures on film and TV sets.
In the clip, Locklear is seen holding up a sign which reads "Team Sarah" while The Vampire Diaries' Dobrev holds a placard emblazoned with the slogan "#Safety For Sarah".
Others to take part in the project include The Following star Underwood and Plunkett & Macleane director Jake Scott, as well numerous other production workers, from make-up artists to craft services workers.
