Why so blue? Emma Watson looks miserable without her new beau as she lands in New York
SHE may be loved-up with her new rugby player boyfriend, but it seems even that's not enough to put a smile on Emma Watson's face.
The 23-year-old actress looked miserable as she touched down in New York's JFK airport today wearing all black attire.
As she strolled through the terminal, Emma appeared to be trying to go unnoticed with her casula outfit of skinny jeans, a blazer coat and a leather ankle boots - but her dark sunglasses gave it away that she was someone important.
Somthing else that gave the game away was the male member of American Airlines staff who walked alongside Emma carrying her hat box.
The smartly dressed man must have been holding something valuable as he balanced the box underneath as well as holding it by the string handle.
Perhaps it was one of Emma's fashion accessories that she took to Los Angeles with her last week when she attended the Golden Globes on January 12.
Before her red carpet appearance, the Harry Potter star had enjoyed a romantic holiday with her new beau, Oxford University student Matthew Janney.
Emma began dating the rugby player after splitting from Will Adamowicz, however, but there's already been rumours that he is somewhat of a ladies' man.
"They had instant chemistry," a source told Star magazine. "People have warned Emma about his past, but she doesn't care. She became infatuated with him immediately, and he loves her attention."
The couple flew out to the Caribbean for a romantic New Years break, where they were pictured getting cosy on the beach together.
And it seems that Matthew's adoptive parents can't wait to meet the actress.
Coralie Day - who has been the 21-year old's guardian ever since he lost his parents and became an orphan at 16 - said: "We are thrilled to bits that he is seeing Emma Watson.
"We are looking forward to meeting her soon. Hats off to her for finding such a wonderful young man. There is nothing bad anyone could say about Matt. He is absolutely lovely," she told the Evening Standard.
