Michael Middleton unleashes his inner party animal and joins the conga line at fundraiser
The Duchess of Cambridge doesn't need to worry about her father not being 'hip' as last night he proved he still knows how to have a good time.
Kate's father was the life and soul of the party as he joined a conga line wearing a dinner suit at a Red Cross charity event .
Michael Middleton, 64, flashed a smile as he held the the waist of a fellow guest as they wiggled their way between tables at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in Belgravia, London.
Feeling in the generous spirit Mr Middleton was spotted making a generous donation to a collector who was dressed in a Red Cross nurse uniform.
While Mr Middleton's was having a whale of time his wife Carole chatted away with guests and looked elegant in a long pleated black dress which she accessorised with a gold pendant chain.
She wore earring with three stones and kept her hair sophisticated with a swooped fringe and kept the rest of her locks half up half down.
The event was in aid of celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Red cross, which was set up in Geneva in 1863 to provide medical attention for wounded soldiers.
Before attending the gala Kate's parents started the night at a £350-per-head dinner at the home of one of the foreign ambassadors who hosted multiple dinners across the capital before the evening entertainment commenced.
Providing music for the night was soul singer Diunna Greenleaf who also performed at President Obama's inauguration at the beginning of the year.
Earlier on in the day Kate kickstarted the Middleton's charitable streak by launching the London Poppy Appeal alongside Prince William and Barbara Windsor.
The trio hopped aboard onto a 1960's route master and made a surprise visit to poppy sellers at Kensington High Street who are currently raising money for the Royal British Legion.
The bus drove around London all day, and called into Kensington Palace, Covent Garden and Downing Street.
