Stevie Nicks promises a Fleetwood Mac and Christine McVie reunion
FORMER Fleetwood Mac star Christine McVie, 70, is to be reunited on stage with the group for the first time in 15 years, according to band member Stevie Nicks.
McVie, who wrote the band’s popular hit Don’t Stop, left back in 1998. Nicks says she will briefly perform with Fleetwood Mac during their forthcoming European tour, which includes eight UK dates later this month.
“She is going to come and do a song on the second two shows,” Nicks rather cryptically announces. “I think it will probably be Don’t Stop. I don’t know but she’s coming to Ireland to rehearse with us.”
Born Christine Perfect, she married the group’s bassist John McVie in 1968 but they divorced eight years later at the height of the band’s commercial success.
