Bugs (but not Beatles) steal Paul McCartney’s limelight
IT’S Paul McCartney – at the grasshoppers’ ball.
Ex-Beatle Macca found himself being buzzed by a cloud of the insects as he performed on stage in Brazil.
Sir Paul didn’t let the creatures bug him though – playing on unfazed for almost three hours in Goiania in front of a 47,000-strong crowd.
He even gave one grasshopper, which remained on his shoulder for much of the show, the nickname Harold.
Singing Hey Jude, Sir Paul turned to it as he sang the words “the movement you need is on your shoulder”, adding “it certainly is now”.
The Brazil concert this week marked the start of a tour taking in six countries in the coming months.
