Martin Freeman fond of the Sherlock success
WITH his floppy hair and boyish looks Martin Freeman rather resembles a Beatle and the Sherlock star jokes that the hype surrounding the TV series makes him feel like a member of the Fab Four.
We had a lot to live up to after the last run. Every time we do it we want to make something better.
“The reaction has been unlike any other job I’ve done. I’ve got great reactions to things I’m very proud of, but I don’t think any surpass Sherlock in terms of critical acclaim and numbers of people watching – and just a general feeling that you’re in a mini Beatlemania,” the 41-year old tells Empire Magazine.
Following the huge success of the first two series, Martin is aware of the weight of expectation this time round, saying: “We had a lot to live up to after the last run. Every time we do it we want to make something better.”
