Rolling Stones tour delayed
The ROLLING STONES' highly-anticipated U.S. tour has been delayed by a day due to the NBA Playoff schedule.
The Brown Sugar legends were supposed to kick off their 50 & Counting trek at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on 2 May (13), but they have pushed back the first concert until 3 May following the release of the basketball tournament details.
Now the Los Angeles Lakers will take on the San Antonio Spurs at the venue, the night before the Rolling Stones take to the stage.
A statement from the band reads, "The Rolling Stones will now kick off their 50 & Counting tour in Los Angeles at STAPLES Center on Friday May 3. The original May 2 show was rescheduled due to the NBA Playoff schedule."
In a post on his Twitter.com page, frontman Mick Jagger adds, "The first date of the tour has been confirmed for May 3! Can't wait to get back on stage & hopefully see you all. Rehearsals are going great."
