Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch looks menacing in new 'Star Trek Into Darkness' artwork
FANS are used to seeing Bendict Cumberbatch play the modern day Sherlock Holmes, so they're in for a treat when they see him in his latest role.
The 36-year-old actor takes on the role of villain Harrison in the upcoming 'Star Trek Into Darkness' and as the new film posters show, he is more than capable of looking menacing.
Wearing all-black attire, including a long leather coat, Cumberbatch is almost unrecognisable as the global terrorist.
He is also sporting a healthy head of dark hair in the poster, as well as a bloody cut on the right-hand side of his face.
The character of John Harrison is described as "one of Starfleet's top agents," and no doubt Cumberbatch is going to play the part well.
Star Trek fans will also be excited to know that three more posters have been unveiled featuring Chris Pine as Captain Kirk, Zoe Saldana as Uhura and Zachary Quinto as Spock.
'Star Trek Into Darkness' is directed by J.J Abrams and is set for release in the UK on May 9.
