Amanda Holden 'We made Simon and David apologise'
BRITAIN’S Got Talent star Amanda Holden insists she has a fantastic friendship with fellow judge Alesha Dixon – and claims the pair have got the better of Simon Cowell.
Amanda said she and Alesha recently walked out on the show supremo and comic David Walliams because they were behaving so badly on set.
They left the audience and their fellow judges high and dry on the final day of the BGT auditions in mid-February after a bust-up over one of the contestants at the Birmingham try-outs.
Walliams tweeted at the time, saying: “It’s all kicked off here in Birmingham for BGT. Amanda and Alesha have staged a walkout. Extremely awkward.”
Now Amanda has revealed: “They had to come and apologise to us before we would come back on. I knew Simon wouldn’t be able to say sorry, and he said, ‘Let’s all say sorry together’. But Alesha and I said, ‘Say it and mean it’.”
Amanda, 42, said of Alesha, 34: “We were so close this year that I hope all that nonsense about us ‘feuding’ and ‘competing with each other in the fashion stakes’ will stop. It makes me angry because I am a mother of girls.”
