Two Time Lords together! David Tennant and Matt Smith meet at Doctor Who 50th anniversary
DAVID Tennant and Matt Smith came face-to-face yesterday as they prepared to practice their lines for an upcoming Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special.
The two Time Lordsds were pictured side by side at the top secret rehearsal, and no doubt had a lot to talk about.
Tennant, 41, played the Doctor from 2005 to 2010 and was succeeded by Smith, but it was recently revealed that the Scottish actor and his former co-star Billie Piper had been asked to return for the anniversary special.
However, Piper was nowhere to be seen yesterday but the men were instead joined by Smith's current female sidekick Jenna-Louise Coleman and a suspected new star of the show, Joanna Page.
It's about celebrating everyone that's been involved with it, all the wonderful actors that have taken part before me, and it's also about looking forward.
As the foursome cosied up for a photo backstage, it was clear to see that they were all getting along very well, with Smith even clutching onto his script.
It is thought that the BBC will begin filming the 90-minute episode this week, which will be shot in 3D and screened in cinemas in November.
Speaking about the anniversary special, Smith said: "It's about looking back and forward at the same time, a bit like the Doctor does.
"It's about celebrating everyone that's been involved with it, all the wonderful actors that have taken part before me, and it's also about looking forward."
