Serena Williams launches nail varnish range
TENNIS champion Serena Williams has started her own range of nail varnish.
The star, who is famed for sporting brightly coloured nails on court, has created 12 new designs.
They come in four different packs, which represent the world’s four Grand Slam tennis tournaments.
Serena, 29, who has won every major title in the game, said: “I love doing my nails before I am out on court. I love to look as glam as I can.”
The range inspired by Wimbledon features a set of “mixed doubles” with purple varnish, silver glitter, silver lacquer and a silver glitter top coat.
The US Open pack has red varnish and gold glitter while the Australian Open range has a green varnish and black shatter top coat. For her French Open selection, Serena chose pink varnish with a red shatter top coat and a gold lacquer plus white shatter top coat.
They have been designed with health and beauty firm OPI International.

OPI chief Suzi Weiss-Fischmann said: “It’s been wonderful to work with Serena. She has a passion for nails and knows how to make a fashion statement.”
An idea for a TV show about nails by Serena was reportedly rejected by US cable firm Lifetime. In a pilot show she is said to have given Oprah Winfrey a pedicure.
