Mary Tyler Moore on mend after brain operation
MARY Tyler Moore was recovering yesterday after surgery to remove a brain tumour.
A spokeswoman for the 74-year-old said she was doing “nicely” after the successful four-hour operation.
Her third husband, doctor Robert Levine, 56, was at her bedside in New York.
Medics had been monitoring the benign tumour for years and Moore elected to have the surgery.
The actress is not expected to need further treatment.
Moore found fame as housewife Laura Petrie on The Dick Van Dyke Show on TV in the Sixties. She had even greater success in The Mary Tyler Moore Show the following decade.
