Julia Roberts and Charlize Theron go for mirror image roles in Snow White films
TWO of Hollywood’s biggest stars are going head-to-head to see who is fairest of them all.
Julia Roberts and Charlize Theron are vying to play the Evil Queen – who has the memorable line “Mirror, mirror, on the wall” – in separate versions of the much-loved children’s tale Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs to be made next year.
Charlize, 35, is being lined up for the role of the wicked stepmother in Snow White And The Huntsman while Oscar winner Julia, 43, is a favourite for The Brothers Grimm.
Charlize is said to be about to accept the role with Murphy’s Law star Michael Fassbender tipped to play the huntsman.
The part of Snow White has yet to be cast, but Natalie Portman, star of the ballet film Black Swan, is on the short list.
Hollywood blogger Nikki Finke said: “It will be interesting to see if both fairy tales have happy endings.”
