Carol Vorderman has announced her return to work following a health scare.

This comes after she previously shared her experience of feeling “burnout” from working seven days a week, which ultimately led her to quit her role at LBC.

In an update to her fans, the 63-year-old former Countdown star revealed that she is currently filming a new show, although she won't be sharing any details just yet.

Taking to her Instagram, she wrote: “Back in the studio today after 3 wks recharging….thanks for the love. Means a lot.”(sic)

She added, “Feels good to be back. Filming on a very funny TV show which I’ll let you know more about soon.” Carol showcased her fashion sense in a bright green shirt, a large belt, and leather trousers, finishing the look with heeled boots.

Carol decided to step down from her role at LBC after admitting she felt "very unwell" and "utterly exhausted," experiencing a "tight feeling" in her chest.

She ended up in the hospital and underwent several scans and checks, which revealed no underlying health issues.

In an Instagram video, she explained: "I am very fed up about it, but I have made the decision that I can no longer do my Sunday show on LBC, which is a very hard decision to come to, but I couldn't see anything else I could do."

Recently, Carol also opened up about feeling "desperate" after leaving university and living out of a "rust-bucket" car.

She graduated from the University of Cambridge with an engineering degree and, before finding fame on Countdown, she poignantly shared her struggles, saying, "[It] was the closest, I think, that I've ever felt about homelessness."
