Jeremy Vine allowed members of the public to phone into the show and have their opinion on Labour's popularity, which has hit a 'record low' after nearly 100 days since Keir Starmer became Prime Minister.

According to a number of publications, a majority of voters are disappointed by the Labour government’s actions so far. It comes amid the government’s decision to scrap winter fuel payments for millions of pensioners.

On the Channel 5 show, one caller named Angie from Essex shared their displeasure with life under Labour and said that stopping the winter fuel payments was "the key thing" why she rated the government so lowly.

However, another caller called Denise told Jeremy that "a lot of people are so frightened now" and that it was "ridiculous" that Labour accepted gifts including free clothes from party donor Lord Waheed Alli.
