Loose Women star Janet Street-Porter has been absent from the ITV show following a major surgery, which she is still in hospital recovering from.
Loose Women: Janet reveals she's taking break for operation
Janet Street-Porter is seemingly back on her feet following undergoing a major surgery. The Loose Women panellist has been forced to take a break from the ITV show as she went into hospital for a hip replacement.
Now, she has delighted fans with a health update, showing her becoming mobile again with the help of a nurse. Posting to her Instagram account to her 49,000 followers, the 77-year-old looked in good spirits as she held on to rails for support.
Janet wore a button around her neck, as she explained that she was trying her best. She captioned the post, writing: "Day 6 and I've joined the call button wearing community! Trying to obey Annie's orders and put feet in right order. Computer scrabble is easier..."
Her Loose Women co-star, Charlene White, was one of the first to comment as she wrote: "Look at that smile," followed by a red love heart emoji. Meanwhile, Katie Piper wrote: "Hooray!"
Fans also joined in on the well wishes and messages of support, with one writing: "Brilliant news see you up about Janet and managing a smile too onwards and upwards."

Another penned: "Doing well Janet, lovely to see x," with a third adding: "Lovely to see you back on your feet keep up the good work Janet xx".
Last Saturday, the ITV star shared a snap from her hospital bed as she still had an oxygen tube up her nose. She wrote: “Three hours after hip replacement-masses of strong pain relief resulted in huge smile of relief! Then the drugs wore off...but I'm walking with a trolley HOORAY XX.”
On Wednesday's episode of Loose Women, Janet announced she'll be taking a significant hiatus from the show while she recovers from her surgery and openly expressed her nervousness about the procedure.

Janet admitted that she was worried about the upcoming surgery as she said: "I can't think about anything else.
"As I'm sitting here I'm shaking and my hands are freezing cold. I keep dreaming about it."
Explaining her show departure, she added: "I'm just going to go into hospital on Friday, have the operation on Friday afternoon, stay in hospital for a few days and then really, really work at rehab and physio so that I can come back as soon as possible."
