BBC Radio 1 presenter Yinka Bokinni has joyously announced the arrival of her first child, sharing an adorable picture with her newborn on Instagram. The 35 year old radio sensation, who is known for her private nature, had previously given fans a glimpse of her pregnancy at the 2024 Brit Awards red carpet, where she was presenting.

Despite her preference for privacy, Yinka has not publicly revealed details about her partner.

On Tuesday, October 8, Yinka took to Instagram to reveal that she had given birth just hours before returning to live TV. In the touching image, Yinka can be seen lovingly holding her baby girl.

She captioned the post: "Hi, we've been quiet, baby girl is amazing and I'm back to work so again hello x."

Embracing her new role, she introduced herself with the playful moniker: "Yinkmummy". Her Instagram update quickly garnered a flood of well-wishes and congratulations from her 93,000 followers.

Celebrities also chimed in with their good wishes. This Morning host Ashley James commented: "The cutest! Welcome back to work mama."

Additionally, former Love Island contestant Rachel Finni, who became a mother in April, greeted Yinka with a warm "Welcome to the baby girl mama club".

Just hours after announcing the arrival of her newborn, the celebrity made a live appearance on ITV2's Big Brother spin-off show, Late and Live. Yinka, a regular on the programme, looked stunning in a grey dress for the episode hosted by Will Best.

She was joined on the panel by Celebrity Big Brother winner David Potts and radio personality Remi Burgz.

Despite keeping her personal life under wraps, it's evident that Yinka has achieved much professionally. She's been a radio DJ since 2015, with experience at Capital Xtra before joining the Radio 1 team last year.

She's frequently spotted interviewing celebrities on the red carpet, having previously hosted the MOBO Awards. In addition to interviewing and hosting, Yinka also presented a Channel 4 documentary Damilola: The Boy Next Door about her friend, Damilola Taylor, who was tragically killed.

Earlier this year, she participated in the Great Celebrity Bake Off.

This isn't the only reality show she's appeared in, having featured on several popular game shows like The Weakest Link, The Chase: Celebrity Special and The Greatest Snowman.
