A Place In The Sun host issues apology after sparking concern with photo from hospital bed

Danni Menzies revealed she had to spend the night in A&E after sharing a photo from her hospital bed. The former A Place In The Sun presenter looked teary-eyed as she sported a face mask with a hospital tag attached to her hand.

The 34 year old took to Instagram on Wednesday night as she opened up about her hospital dash but did not disclose the reason for the visit.

Taking to her stories she penned: "Ended up spending Tuesday night in hospital as you blinking do! So I was so glad to be back at it and on form today [muscle arm emoji]."

The on-screen star returned to her work duties on Heart Radio today alongside her co-star Des Clarke but was admittedly still "under the weather" as she issued an apology to listeners.

Sharing a photo looking bright and in good spirits the host issued an apology for having a croaky voice throughout the duration of the programme.

She captioned the post: "Defs sounded like I smoke 60 a day on the show. Apologies been a little under da weather, but we did it!"(sic)

Danni went on to share her busy day on the radio but her post sparked some concern among fans.

In a candid behind-the-scenes video, the radio broadcaster penned: "Spend the morning with us @heartscotland. This lot work super hard and I love them all… as much as they love Kinky [pet dog]."

Danni added the hashtags: "#presenter #radio #radiopersonality #scotland #onair #bts #behindthescenes."

A concerned user wrote: "Why did you go to hospital? Are you ok?"

While others gushed over the presenter's appearance, as another said: "Beautiful." A third added: "Love it."

Danni previously opened up about why she chose to leave Channel 4 show, A Place In The Sun in 2022.

After six years of presenting, the property expert decided it was time to seek new challenges and step out of her comfort zone.
