Sydney Sweeney 'buying $20 million home' after previously spilling on money struggles

Hollywood actress Sydney Sweeney previously opened up on her financial struggles as a rising star, but she's reportedly getting ready to drop a motherlode on a new Florida pad.

Sydney Sweeney could drop nearly $20 million (£15,700) or more on her new home, less than a year after the Hollywood star opened up about her financial difficulties.

Photos have emerged of the 26-year-old actress in South Florida reportedly getting ready for a housewarming party.

She was easily identifiable by her custom blue Fiat 500 but kept things lowkey in denim dungarees, baseball cap and shades.

The Anyone But You star has also shared clips of herself driving around the property with her dog Tank on social media.

Sources have since claimed Sydney has almost finalised a deal on the property, which was listed for just below $20m, though it’s unknown exactly how much the actress will spend to close the deal.

Reports were shared by TMZ, who also said they were told Sydney will be expanding her property portfolio rather than selling her current Los Angeles home.

Her new pad boasts 7,000 square feet, a heated and chilled infinity pool, a chef’s kitchen, wine room, an aquarium and gorgeous views of the nearby ocean and canal.

The publication reports the property even has its own elevator, plus a home gym and game room.

The cheques for Sydney’s latest projects, Anyone But You, Madame Web and horror Immaculate, may have cleared as the Euphoria favourite previously admitted she didn’t feel financially secure living in LA.

She told The Hollywood Reporter last summer: “If I wanted to take a six-month break, I don’t have income to cover that.

“I don’t have someone supporting me, I don’t have anyone I can turn to, to pay my bills or call for help.”

Despite starring in one of HBO’s most popular series in recent years, Sydney revealed: “They don’t pay actors like they used to, and with streamers, you no longer get residuals.

“The established stars still get paid, but I have to give five percent to my lawyer, 10 percent to my agents, 3 percent or something like that to my business manager.

“I have to pay my publicist every month, and that’s more than my mortgage.”
