Jennifer Lopez unrecognisable in Janet Jackson's music video years before her own fame

Jennifer Lopez fans might be surprised to learn that before had her own meteroic rise to superstardom — she made an appearance in a Janet Jackson music video.

The multi-talented J.Lo was featured in the video for Janet's tune That's The Way Love Goes, turning heads in a daring black vest top with a revealing neckline, throwing glances towards Janet.

Lopez opted for fashionable accessories including a black choker necklace embellished with a metallic pendant and wore a full face of makeup that complemented her natural beauty.

Her brunette locks were styled in an elegant updo, with glossy curls artfully piled atop her head.

The On The Floor singer was seen wearing multiple rings and bangles while swaying alongside Janet, matching her rhythm as the cameras rolled.

The video features saucy lyrics from Janet like "I like to watch us play" followed by the more emotive: "You feel so good I'm gonna cry".

Over on YouTube, eagle-eyed viewers spotted Lopez's cameo and were quick to gush over the small on-screen role.

Beneath the official music video for the Jackson track, one viewer observed: "J.Lo's Bronx accent was heavy!"

Another person added: "To think that even J.Lo in this video had no idea what was ahead of her, this music is pure soul and groove. Just mellow. If you didn't grow up in the '90s, you missed music."
