A Place in the Sun presenter Jean Johansson has admitted she would love Lorraine Kelly's job. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk she revealed that she sees her career eventually moving towards daytime TV.

Asked if she has any ambitions, she doesn't hesitate to answer: "I'd love to do Lorraine. Well, I'm Scottish too and I think we are good at shows like that.

"So Lorraine or This Morning or something like that. That is where I could see myself heading in the future." Jean already has a foot in the door with ITV daytime as she frequently presents the competition segments on the flagship show.

While that work is closer to home, A Place In The Sun sees her jetting off on location. She admits that despite being on the show for six years now, she still hasn't quite figured out the work-life balance.

The star is married to former professional footballer Jonathan Johansson, and they have a 12-year-old son called Junior. "I'm a working mum and it takes a lot of skill and a lot of juggling and I struggle but I get I've got a great support network," she said.

"And my son is sort of used to seeing mum going off and working which I think is going to be hopefully a good role model for him as he gets older."

"I don't have the magic formula for that work-life balance. I'm constantly working on and trying to get it right and when I can bring my son with me I do," she explained.

While she may not feel she has the balance figured out, she definitely has one of her dream jobs. While it might not be a daytime magazine show, she admitted she loves helping people find their dream home abroad.

"I started in property at a young age. I was 19 when I bought my first property in London. I love helping people achieve their [property] dreams.

"I love to see the different properties. I have two holiday homes of my own and I love to be able to help people be able to go on a plane and go to their own place. It's lovely to help other people do it," she enthused.

"I've had couples with a £60,000 budget and I've had couples with £500,000. It's not a show that you watch and think, 'That could never be me.'

"Yes, it's aspirational. But I think there are a lot of people that could get that amount of money and can get a little small place in Portugal."

"I think there's something for everyone on the show and the fact that it's normal, hardworking people [on the show]. I think that's really, really cool," she added.

A Place In the Sun is on Channel 4 weekdays at 3pm.
