Steph McGovern to make TV return just months after Channel 4 show cancelled
Steph McGovern is set to make a return to TV just months after her Channel 4 show Steph's Packed Lunch was axed, as she's set to appear on Have I Got News For You.
TV Personality, Steph McGovern is making a triumphant return to television a few short months following the cancellation of her Channel 4 programme, Steph's Packed Lunch.
Despite only being taken off the air by Channel 4 merely five months ago, McGovern is poised to grace our screens once again. The popular presenter recently took to social media to share an in-transit snap from her vehicle with her stylist en route to the television studio.
In her lighthearted post, she declared: "'Let's get a nice picture of us on our way to Have I Got News For You' she says... Patrick," and then proceeded to add an emoji symbolising tongue sticking out. Admirers were swift to reply via comments with their support for the star.
One enthusiastic follower gushed: "Looking fab Steph. Let us know when the episode is on. I love when you're on HIGNFY."
Another eagerly added: "I love it when you're on, you were very funny and your back and forth with Ian is hilarious."
This notable comeback will mark McGovern's ninth appearance on the panel show since its inception. It happens to coincide just five months after her daytime TV endeavour, Steph's Packed Lunch was inexplicably dropped by Channel 4.
The final episode aired in early December last year, on 8th 2023, with the concluding broadcast taking place in late October. Delivering heartfelt sentiments on her final broadcast, an emotional Steph expressed: "We've had a proper laugh doing this show. Thank you for sharing your stories with us and being part of this dysfunctional family."
Chatting with her co-stars on the show, she expressed: "It is really lovely to have you all here and everyone watching at home. One of the reasons I have loved doing this show is because it is in the north. We get to shout out about all the creative things the north has to offer. It has been amazing to broadcast live from Leeds every day."

Recently, a doctored photo of Steph looking pregnant circulated on social media, leading to an understandable backlash from the TV host.
She was compelled to deny pregnancy rumours after receiving numerous messages from concerned fans.
In response, Steph took to her Instagram Stories to share the manipulated image that had sparked the speculation, showing her with what appeared to be a baby bump. Clearly exasperated by the situation, she decided to address the issue head-on.
"A picture that has been doctored to make me look heavily pregnant. For lots of reasons this is really insensitive," she posted, evidently frustrated.
She then shared the original photo, which featured fellow presenter Ashley James, taken in a car.
Steph announced the birth of her daughter back in 2019. However, she generally keeps her personal life under wraps when she's not in front of the camera.
