Strictly Giovanni Pernice's girlfriend blasts 'bizarre' accusations against BBC star
Molly Brown, the girlfriend of Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice, has reportedly blasted accusations surrounding the dancer's conduct as "bizarre".
Giovanni Pernice’s girlfriend Molly Brown is allegedly “angry” at those “throwing around claims” regarding the Strictly Come Dancing star. The reported complaint comes after the pair recently “rekindled” their romance.
33-year-old Giovanni and Molly, 25, went public with their relationship in February. But rumours soon followed regarding their split after they’d allegedly unfollowed each other on social media.
Earlier this week, the professional dancer put speculation to bed by posting a gushing social media tribute to his love interest. He shared an image with his 1.1 million Instagram followers on Friday (April 26) where he declared his “love” for the model.
During the early days of their relationship, Molly has reportedly served as her boyfriend’s “rock”. The fresh update comes amid Giovanni's experiencing a “horrific” few months.
An insider recently told MailOnline: “Gio has been through an horrific few months but Molly has been an absolute rock the whole time. She’s told friends how bizarre she thinks the stuff is that Gio’s been accused of because it doesn’t tally with the person she knows.”
They added that the social media star has been “left quite angry” and believed those throwing around claims should either make a complaint or stop causing trouble.”
Giovanni has been subjected to scrutiny following his early exit from Strictly in October 2023.
He and his professional partner Amanda Abbington were forced to withdraw from the BBC dance competition, citing “personal reasons” at the time.
Following the 52-year-old’s departure, Giovanni took to Instagram to pay tribute to the star but Amanda failed to mention him in her own exit post.
She has since revealed her time on Strictly has caused her to suffer a mild case of PTSD and that she had received death threats from fans.

The Sherlock actress also reportedly demanded the BBC deliver backstage footage of her practices with Giovanni after his alleged militant teaching style.
Speaking to The Mirror about Amanda’s allegations, a spokesperson from the BBC said: "Strictly Come Dancing has always taken duty of care incredibly seriously and there is a constant dialogue between senior members of the production team and the contestants to ensure any concerns are addressed swiftly.
“Strictly has a proud track record as a joyful, positive experience where robust support and assistance is always made available at every stage of the production.”
