The final words of Gogglebox star George Gilbey before his tragic 80ft fall have been revealed by friends, following his sudden death this week.
George, aged 40, sadly lost his life in the early hours of Wednesday morning after an incident at his workplace in Essex. A man has since been taken into custody on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter linked to George's untimely death.
In the days leading up to his death, George had been working as an electrician. The Celebrity Big Brother finalist died on a construction site in Shoebury, after reportedly plummeting 80ft through a skylight onto concrete.
His last words were shared by a source, who recalled George was on the roof of an Essex warehouse when the fatal accident occurred.
They claimed: "George had not been in a good way and maybe should not have been working at all. He was up on the roof and the others were shouting at him to get down and to be careful."
Speaking to The Sun, the source added: "He was shouting back that he was alright, even though he was not very steady on his feet.
Then, he apparently came through a skylight so fell from the outside of the roof about 80ft on to concrete inside.
"Poor George did not stand a chance and it is a terrible way to go."
