Homes Under the Hammer fans shocked after buyer's dramatic transformation of £165k house
Homes Under the Hammer star Dion Dublin appeared concerned when a property developer paid over double at auction for a West Midlands property. However, she managed to turn it around with her stunning transformation.
Three-bed property undergoes 'incredible' transformation
Despite its huge prospects, nobody appeared to want to take on the challenge after being on the market for a while. The original owners decided that they wanted a shot of it so put it up for auction.
The Cradley Heath home was situated on a quiet street and boasted three bedrooms. There was no visibility of damp or large movement – but it required some tender loving care.
Although it lacked curbside appeal, a lick of paint and a driveway makeover would transform its initial view. The garden area had a decent space and even featured a brick garage at the end.
BBC experts valued the guide price at auction for around £79,0000 – despite selling for £169,000. This left Dion concerned as the new owner would need a significant budget to “restore” the home.
Before the work began on the house Dion caught up with Victoria who bought it. She is a local property developer and wanted to add to her portfolio.
She had big plans for the home and planned to rent it out. Giving herself a time frame of three months she hoped that she could knock down the downstairs wall and build out, as well as open up the living room with French doors.

“One of the first things I did was put in some decking in the garden for whoever comes in to live here,” she explained.
“A lot of work went into the garden to make it a useable space”, Victoria added. The jaw-dropping transformation in the outside area saw it open up and turn the garage into an outside building.
Viewers were left in shock that she was able to pull it off. Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one user said: “Shocked she was able to pull that off."
A second queried: “Why did she pay that much for it?? but it is a lovely house now." A third chimed: “Fair play she did it but I reckon she will need to keep it a long while to get a return”.
