Following the sad news of his death, former Strictly Come Dancing professional Robin Windsor previously revealed he was forced to quit dancing after landing himself in "huge trouble".
The 44-year-old appeared on the My Time Capsule podcast previously and divulged that he had to turn his back on dancing after getting into a huge amount of debt.
He explained: "I got myself into a huge amount of debt and didn't tell anybody and I had to make a very heartbreaking decision to hang up my dance shoes because it had got too bad and I didn't want to tell anybody.
"I secretly withdrew myself from the competitive world of dancing and hit the London party scene which was my way of trying to compensate that I was missing the most important part of my life."
The BBC star went on to reveal that he would spend his days working at a shoe shop while his nights were made up of partying in London. He continued: "I didn't want to tell anybody how much trouble I was in, I was out into all hours every night, the life and soul of the party but I wasn't happy.
"I was working in a shoe shop and it was so strange to see how my life had changed so much in a short amount of time."
A year later, Robin explained that he coincidentally bumped into his previous dance partner and they had decided to start working together again. The Strictly star moved in with her family in Southampton and they began to train together for the next six months.
The revelation comes after it was announced in the early hours of Tuesday morning that Robin had died. The news of the dancer's death was shared on Facebook in the early hours of this morning on the dance company, Burn The Floor's page.
Robin was a founding member of Burn the Floor and had a professional partnership with fellow Strictly star Kristina Rihanoff. He starred in the BBC One dance show between 2010 and 2013 with several celebrity partners.
