Rachel Riley hit back at criticism asking her why she'd condemned Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood - who has now had his charges dropped - but kept quieter about Prince Andrew, in a new comment posted to Twitter (X) yesterday.
A follower had quizzed: "Just wondering if the views you have on Mason Greenwood, did you have the same on Prince Andrew? If so, how come you weren't so vocal with them?"
Countdown star Rachel fired back with a slice of wit, stating: "Sorry if I haven’t been more clear on this issue, happy to clarify."
In view of her 686,500 followers, the 37-year-old joked: "I also think Prince Andrew should not play for Manchester United."
Last January 2022, 21-year-old Greenwood was arrested after allegations surfaced on social media. In October of that year, he was charged with attempted rape, controlling and coercive behaviour, and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

He denied all the allegations against him, and the charges were dropped in February of this year.
Rachel seemed furious when speculation arose that Mason could be returning to Man United - her life-long favourite team - and appeared jubilant on Monday when it was confirmed he'd be leaving the club.
She previously stated on Twitter: "When it comes to VAWG [violence against women and girls], less than one percent of rapes reported to police lead to conviction.
"We’ve all seen and heard enough. Pretending this is OK would be a huge part of the problem.
"It would be devastating for my club to contribute to a culture that brushes this under the carpet. I really hope they do the right thing."

Rachel then clarified that she would feel unable to support United "if Greenwood remains at the club".
Back on Twitter last night, @TheOriginalSai challenged Rachel, stating: "Prince Andrew continues to play for the Royal Family though. You never once called for him to lose his titles or called him out on his actions, considering you have an MBE."
However, @dickybets365 defended her, retorting: "I’ve never been a fan of Rachel Riley (quite the opposite) but she is 100 percent right on the club’s terrible handling of the Greenwood debacle."
@naylor2006 added: "Rachel was one of the only mainstream public figures to make a statement on this and thank you."
